Whiskey; a Variety of Distilled Liquors That Are Made From a Fermented Mash of Cereal Grains
A whiskey is a type of distilled alcoholic beverage made
from fermented grain mash. Various grains are used to make different varieties
of whiskey, such as wheat, rye, corn, and barley. Spirits like whisky have a
higher Alcohol by Volume (ABV) than most other alcoholic drinks and often
around 35-40%. In comparison beer is often around 5% ABV. A minute difference
exists between whiskey and vodka regarding alcohol content. Vodka has around
40% ABV or at least 80 proof, while whiskey has about 40% to 50% ABV.

Bruichladdich X4+1 Quadrupled whisky is the world's most
alcoholic single malt whiskey with a belligerent ABV of 92%. Alcohol isn't a
healthy choice in general, but some alcohol is better for people than others. Red
wine, tequila, whiskey, and hard kombucha are healthier options than beer and
sugary drinks. Whiskey has high levels of polyphenols, plant-based antioxidants
linked with lowering the risk of heart disease. The polyphenols in whiskey help
increase good cholesterol and decrease bad cholesterol, and reduce
triglycerides, or blood fat.
However, high alcohol consumption can increase the risk of
chronic disease and other health issues. Over consumption may lead to high
cholesterol, high blood pressure, and heart disease. Whiskey's heart benefits
come with small doses. Drinking more than one glass daily provides none of the
benefits that this drink of choice has been proven to provide. Thus, it is
important to limit the consumption of whiskey. Moderate consumption of whiskey
is defined as up to one glass of whiskey per day for women and up to two glass
of whiskey per day for men.
