There are also plugs for the ends of the handlebars that prevent the bare tubing from stabbing, in case of a crash and bar tape, which is the cloth that wraps around the bars to provide padding and grip. The seat post, which is a rod that connects the saddle to the frame. The seat post can be made from many materials, and there are even some that power lights or charge batteries for accessories.
